WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — If the Washington Nationals played in a dome, the roof would have literally blown off when Jayson Werth hit a game-winning home run in the ninth inning of Game 4 of the National League Division Series.

Crowd noise reached its highest level in the five-year history of Nationals Park as Werth’s shot sailed into the bullpen over the left field fence.

Fans were frenzied, announcers were shouting and the excitement of it all was almost too much for one Nationals player.

Kurt Suzuki nearly fell ill as his teammate rounded the bases to force a winner-take-all Game 5.

“I think I screamed so loud I almost threw up,” Suzuki said. “It was unbelievable! What a great at bat. He’s one of the leaders on the team.”
