Curl up to a good read this fall. WNEW’s Judlyne Lilly talked to author Rick Robinson about his latest book Writ of Mandamus.

“I write political thrillers for the Richard Thompson series, the current one which is Writ of Mandamus, which was the winner this year of the London Book Festival”, said Robinson

Writ of Mandamus is the latest in a series of books Robinson has written which also include The Maximum Contribution, Sniper Bid, and Manifest Destiny.

All of the books are focused on the same main character, Richard Thompson. In the first book Robinson said, “He’s running in a special election, brings up a very mundane tax issue which throws him into the middle of a nefarious business deal and an ongoing FBI sting operation. Then in the second book, Sniper Bid, he’s now been elected to Congress and he’s dealing with her first big issue on Capitol Hill and that’s steroids in professional sports and of course someone is trying to shut him up.”
