WASHINGTON — Trains and buses in Washington are running on a weekend schedule for the Columbus Day holiday.
Metro says the rail system will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight as is usual for a Monday. But off-peak fares will be in effect all day. There’s also scheduled track work on the red and orange lines that will slow travelers.
Buses will operate on a Saturday schedule.
