LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Two women and one infant have been rescued from a burning apartment building in New Carrollton.

Prince George’s County Fire officials say a fire started in a bedroom on the lower level of a three-story apartment building, located in the 5300 block of 85th Avenue.

They say the women and young child were rescued from the second and third floors of the building.

The fire has been extinguished.
