LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The Washington Nationals will find out who they will face in their first ever postseason appearance today.
The team will travel to face the winner of tonight’s National League Wild Card contest between the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals.
Davey Johnson’s club will make their playoff debut on Sunday with the time of the game yet to be determined.
Washington maintains they don’t care who they face and they’ll be ready to play either squad. If regular season records are any indicator, the Nationals are right — they really shouldn’t care.
They were a combined 14-11 against the Braves and Cardinals this season, dominating neither squad.
Record vs. Braves: 10-8
Record vs. Cardinals: 4-3
Who would you rather see the Nats face?
