WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - It may seem silly to outsiders, but any time Robert Griffin III releases a new pair of socks it’s newsworthy in D.C.

Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday Washington’s franchise quarterback tweeted a picture of his newest line of Adidas socks available for purchase.

The picture displays two pair, side by side, resting on what looks like a hardwood floor to provide great contrast.

One pair seems marketed to Baylor fans – neon green with black stripes and a black band across the middle with the phrase “Work Hard” in prominent green lettering.

The second is more for Redskins diehards – basic white with burgundy horizontal stripes and a gold band stretching the middle with the phrase “Stay Humble” in the burgundy font.

Players often say if you look good, you feel good and play well. Let’s hope that’s the case this Sunday when RGIII takes the field at home against one of the league’s premiere offenses in the Falcons.
