SPRINGFIELD, Va. (CBSDC) — A fifth woman has come forward to say she was fondled from behind by a stranger in the Springfield area.
The 40-year-old woman tells police she was walking along Hibbling Avenue near Exmore Street on Sept. 19 when she heard someone following her. When she turned to see who was behind her, she was groped.
The woman was able to get away from the man who then fled the scene.
A 15-year-old girl told police she was fondled as she walked in the same area around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The Sept. 19 victim says the attacker is a Hispanic male in his 30′s, standing roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall with dark eyes and a neatly trimmed beard. The man was wearing black nylon pants with two blue stripes down the sides, a blue long sleeved shirt, black shoes, and a black and white bandana with designs on it.
Her description closely matches those given in four previously known fondling cases.
The women in the other three cases are between 16 and 26 years old.
Police believe there may be additional victims that have not yet come forward.
