ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — It’s not Super Bowl Sunday, but the first debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney is prompting a party-like atmosphere for staunch political supporters in front of the television.
Watch parties will be commonplace throughout the region as the two presidential candidates square-off in tonight’s kickoff debate.
Both candidates have campaigned extensively in Loudoun County where the race is expected to be extremely close.
WNEW report Kevin Patrick, a Loudoun resident, says he’s received five phone calls from the Romney campaign and none from the Obama camp.
However, the Democrats have 16 scheduled viewing parties in the county while Republicans only have two.
