‘Barack Obama’ Dances on Rooftop in “Gangnam Style” Parody
LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — The YouTube craze “Gangnam Style” has taken a decidedly political turn.
A Barack Obama impersonator plays the lead in the latest parody of the viral video titled “Obama Style.”
The quirky video shows Obama dancing on a rooftop with Secret Service agents and First Lady Michelle Obama following suit.
Republican challenger Mitt Romney wasn’t left out of the fun. An impersonator, decidedly younger than the 65-year-old candidate, perfectly executed “the worm” on the dance floor.
The song was written and produced by Eric Schwartz who performs under the name Smooth-E.
The video has been viewed nearly 200,000 times since it was uploaded on Sept. 21.
“Obama Style” features appearances from Sean Klitzner and Ben Gleib according to its description on YouTube.
The original “Gangnam Style” music video by PSY has gone viral. The song is about the lavish and luxurious lifestyle connected to the trendy Gangnam district, located in Seoul.
