ROCKVILLE, Md. (CBSDC/AP) - Four elementary school students and two adults were taken to the hospital after their school bus hit another vehicle.
Police say 45 students were on a bus headed toward Ritchie Park Elementary School when collided with a silver Jeep on Great Falls Road at around 8:30 Monday morning.
The bus was near Juliet West Middle School when the accident occurred.
Police spokesman Maj. Bob Rappoport says the injured students complained of neck and back injuries and the injuries were not life threatening.
Rappoport says the driver of a Jeep struck by the bus has been cited for failing to yield the right of way when making a left turn in front of the bus at an intersection. The police spokesman says both drivers were also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
