WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has nominated the commissioner of the United States Sentencing Commission to a judgeship in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Ketanji Brown Jackson has been on the Sentencing Commission since 2010. She worked at Morrison & Foerster LLP from 2007 to 2010 and served as an assistant federal public defender in Washington from 2005 to 2007.
Jackson received her bachelor’s and law degrees from Harvard University.
