It wasn’t too long ago when it seemed the entire country – swept up in Carly Rae Jepsen fever – was making parody videos of “Call Me Maybe”. Well, it’s happening again.

A new song is sweeping the country after traveling overseas through the internet all the way from South Korea.

It’s called “Gangnam Style” by the Korean rapper PSY.

The video’s wacky antics are aimed at depicting the lavish lifestyle residents flaunt in the Gangnam district of Seoul, South Korea. But what’s catching everyone’s attention is the dance to go along with it.

A mere days ago PSY taught the dance to an adoring fan in Britney Spears during a joint appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and since then everyone is doing it … United States Naval Academy included.

The U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen posted a video to YouTube two days ago which shows members of the football team dancing “Gangnam Style” throughout the U.S. Naval Academy campus in Annapolis.

The original video being spoofed is nearing the “Call Me Maybe” insanity level, with 212+ million views to Carly Rae Jepsen’s 260+ million. You can judge how the Midshipmen compare to PSY below.
