Nationals and Dodgers Rained Out; Doubleheader on Wednesday
WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — The scheduled game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals on Tuesday night was postponed because of rain.
The NL clubs will make up the game on Wednesday as part of a doubleheader starting at 4:05 p.m. EDT.
Nationals manager Davey Johnson expects to use Tuesday’s scheduled starter, right-hander Jordan Zimmermann, and left-hander John Lannan as his pitchers Wednesday.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Aaron Harang and Josh Beckett will pitch for Los Angeles.
The Nationals say all tickets for Tuesday’s game may be exchanged at the Box Office for Wednesday’s doubleheader or any remaining home game, excluding the Sept. 22 contest against the Milwaukee Brewers or a postseason tiebreaker.
