LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) - Legendary sportscaster James Brown joined the Sports Junkies on Tuesday to promote the 10th annual Michael Wilbon/James Brown Celebrity Roast and Golf Classic, but it was Brown who hailed the Junks as celebrities.

“Have you guys been profiled nationally at all?” Brown asked the guys.

“I [want to] see if I can take this to the next level. For 15 years for a group of friends to be doing as well as you guys are [and] bringing some pretty impressive backgrounds to the table,” Brown said.

Brown loved EB’s work with the elderly, JP’s bar exam and Cakes’ vasectomy revelations. And of course, he dug Lurch’s historic basketball background.

“Ask [Coach Morgan] who his best three-point shooter was in 35 years of coaching,” yelled Jason.

After all the compliments were out of the way, the Junks asked Brown about the situation with the refs in the NFL.

“Week 1 not a real big deal. Week 2, it’s really getting out of hand,” Brown said.

Longtime Steelers Head Coach Bill Cowher told Brown that we are about to see major fights on the field because they can’t control the players.
