ASHBURN, VA (CBSDC) — Pierre Garçon’s status for Sunday remains unclear.

The Washington Redskins wide receiver was ‘very limited’ in the Thursday’s practice. He sat out Wednesday after suffering a foot injury during Sunday’s win over the New Orleans Saints.

“It’s not the toe,” Mike Shanahan said. “It’s the one right next to it and not on the ball of the foot, just inside of it. It’s just sore. He’s getting treatment on it and he got some work in today, some drill work, which is encouraging.”

When asked whether Garçon would play Sunday, Shanahan simply stated he ‘really didn’t know.’

He believes the team will have a better idea about the receiver’s status on Friday.

Garçon declined to address the media other than to say he was “feeling good” as he walked into the locker room.

Safety Brandon Meriweather remained sidelined with a knee injury while nose tackle Chris Baker (ankle) was listed as having full participation on the injury report.

Meanwhile, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan seemed pleased with the flexibility Robert Griffin III affords the team.

He was also happy with the offensive line play.

“They played hard, didn’t give up any sacks,” he said.
