WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Memorial services will be held country-wide today in remembrance of the attacks on 9/11, with multiple memorials in Washington, D.C.

Today marks the 11 year memorial for the attacks carried out on 9/11 at the Pentagon, World Trade Center and Flight United 93.

A memorial service will be held for the victims of 9/11 at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. this morning. The service commences at 8:45 a.m.

Also this afternoon, local officials will meet at Freedom Plaza along Pennsylvania Avenue near the White House for service projects intended to support veterans and first responders.
