NEW ORLEANS (CBSDC) — The Washington Redskins are going ‘all in’ with their quarterbacking future.

Veteran Rex Grossman is inactive for Sunday’s season opener in New Orleans. Should something happen to Robert Griffin III fellow rookie Kirk Cousins will take over.

The list of Redskins inactives also includes: wide receiver Dez Briscoe, cornerback Crezdon Butler, safety Brandon Meriweather, guards Josh LeRibeus and Adam Gettis and nose tackle Chris Baker.

The Saints declared the following players inactive: running back Chris Ivory, defensive back Jabari Greer and defensive tackles Tyrunn Walker and Akiem Hicks.
