LANDOVER, Md. (CBSDC) — Mike Shanahan has already stated that most Washington Redskins starters weren’t going to play today.
I’m at FedEX Field now and 27 of the team’s projected key contributors are already on the field running sprints, which is a solid indication that they will not to play.
Here’s a list of the players who are going through pregame warm-ups as if they’re not going to play;
Defensive line: Stephen Bowen, Barry Cofield, Adam Carriker, Jarvis Jenkins and Chris Baker.
Linebackers: Brian Orakpo, London Fletcher, Perry Riley and Ryan Kerrigan.
Defensive backs: DeAngelo Hall, Josh Wilson, Cedric Griffin, Brandon Meriweather, Tanard Jackson and Madieu Williams.
Offensive line: Trent Williams, Kory Lichtensteiger, Will Montgomery, Chris Chester, and Tyler Polumbus.
Running backs: Alfred Morris and Darrel Young.
Wide receivers: Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss.
Tight End: Fred Davis
Quarterbacks: Robert Griffin III and Rex Grossman
*A few of these players (Chris Baker as an example) could have been testing out ailments (ankle) and may not have been ruled out yet. But based on how the past two preseasons have concluded, this should be a nice list to prepare you for who you won’t see tonight.
