WASHINGTON (CBS DC) - Gawker has released documents that they claim are more than “950 pages of internal audits, financial statements, and private investor letters for 21 cryptically named entities in which Romney had invested.”
Gawker’s claims its documents show that Romney has hidden money in the Cayman Islands, and details the mysterious retirement package that Romney received from Bain Capital, the investment firm that Romney founded in 1984.
The blog states that the “documents are exceedingly complicated.”
“We don’t pretend to be qualified to decode them in full, which is why we are posting them here for readers to help evaluate,” Gawker states.
The presumptive GOP candidate has refused to release more than two years of tax returns since he announced his candidacy.
