Tim Hightower (ACL) is likely to make his preseason debut Saturday as long as there is are setbacks with his surgically repaired knee according to head coach Mike Shanahan.

“This is huge,”  Hightower said. “I don’t even know what to say. I’m sure it will hit me Saturday when I get on that field, a little bit of nerves and all that stuff. But, it’s definitely a blessing. I’ve been working for this a long time so it’s a huge step for me.”

Hightower, who re-signed with the Redskins this offseason, added that he isn’t viewing the contest as just a preseason game. For him, the exhibition is ‘special.’
