The Washington Redskins held open locker room today as they prepare for their third preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

Chris Chester (ankle) says he will make his preseason debut on Saturday.  Brandon Meriweather (knee) wouldn’t say he would or wouldn’t play in week one, only that he is feeling better.  Kory Lichtensteiger (knee scope) says he is feeling better, doing drill work, but still isn’t ready to play.

“I’ve just got to get ready,”  Lichtensteiger said.  “I’ve got to take reps in practice to get the feel of a game.”

He added that if himself and the coaching staff agree that he is ready to go, it’s a possibility he could play in the fourth and final preseason game.

Brian Orakpo says his shoulder is good, but Mike Shanahan already ruled him and Meriweather out for the rest of the preseason.  Orakpo should be ready to go in week one.

Listen here to what London Fletcher & Brian Orakpo had to say about Clinton Portis announcing his retirement tomorrow and also what Josh Wilson, Kory Lichtensteiger, Brandon Banks, Brandon Meriweather, Bryan Kehl, Anthony Armstrong, Chris Chester & Kedric Golston had to say during open locker room today.
