PASADENA, Md. (CBSDC) - Police have discovered the identity of a human skull found behind a shopping center last week in Pasadena.

On Monday, Aug. 6, Anne Arundel County police were dispatched to a wooded area after a person reported walking into the wood line only to stumble upon a human skull. The body was eventually discovered within the wooded area of the 8100 block of Ritchie Highway as well, after an extensive search by officers and search dogs.

Police have conclusively identified the victim as 20-year-old Jessica Lynn Lee, after receiving results from the medical examiner’s office. Lee was reported missing from Brooklyn Park in May of 2012.

The case is now being investigated as a homicide.
