As we told you Monday, D.C. Restaurant Week is underway downtown, with a full plate of options through Sunday.
The hundreds of participating restaurants are offering fixed-rate lunches for $20.12 and fixed-rate dinners for $35.12, with each meal providing an option something along the lines of: a choice of appetizer, entrée, and desert.
But as the Washingtonian is reporting, some restaurants are not allowing themselves to go along with the party line of a limited menu. Some restaurants have spiced it up a bit, offering you the customer, your choice from the full menu. Some restaurants have Restaurant Week specials offering reduced rate drinks.
“Ardeo + Bardeo” doesn’t waste any time explaining. Its special allows you to pick three courses from the full dinner menu.
“La Tasca” says to go ahead and choose UNLIMITED tapas from the regular lunch and dinner menus.
And then there’s the fun stuff. “Art and Soul” is offering wines by the glass for $7 to $8 during lunch, and 30 bottled wines for $30 during lunch and dinner.
