Redskins: Chris Chester, Darrel Young Injury Updates

By Sky Kerstein

The Redskins held their first open locker room of the season right before they hold their final open practice of the year.  The fans were arriving over two hours before practice just go get one last look of the team on the practice field.

One player they’ll see today is right guard Chris Chester (ankle) who says he’ll fully practice without limitations.  Darrel Young (hamstring) says he’s a little more than 80% speed and is running.  Also added that he is going “day-to-day”.

It was also the first time we got to see Robert Griffin III’s locker and he has a piece of paper with this written on it hanging from the front.

“Forget about being MVP. Forget about being in the Pro Bowl. Those are nice consolation prizes if you don’t get a SUPER BOWL RING.”

Veteran defensive lineman Barry Cofield spoke to the media today and he was adamant this needs to be a better season.

“The way we finished last year isn’t good enough,” Cofield said.  “It’s not good enough for us, it’s not good enough for our fans.”
