WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Police in the District are trying to identify two suspects wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a shoe store on Aug. 9.

Authorities say two suspects entered City Beats, located in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE, around 6:10 p.m. The pair announced to they were robbing the store and displayed a handgun.

The suspects were able to steal boxes of shoes as well as an undisclosed amount of money.

Both suspects are described as black men in their early 20’s, standing between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 11 inches tall with slim builds.

The first suspect has a medium complexion with long black dreads. He was wearing gray pants and a gray shirt at the time of the robbery.

His accomplice has a light complexion and short hair. He was last seen wearing a teal and gray shirt, blue jeans and a black skull-cap.

Police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this crime.
