The Redskins held a walk-through this morning before their second to last open practice of training camp at 3pm this afternoon. Jarvis Jenkins says he’s “feeling real good” after missing practice on Saturday due to the flu.
“I’m feeling real good,” Jenkins said. “Friday I had a little fever. Kind of came last minute but got it down, got my hydration back up, so I’m ready to practice now.”
Jenkins, who hadn’t played since last preseason due to a torn ACL, was happy with his performance last Thursday night against the Bills.
“I think I did pretty good,” Jenkins said. “From the plays I played, I had really good technique. I can do a lot better. Push the pocket a little faster, get those balls out quicker.”
Redskins veteran Chris Cooley, who played some full-back last week (1 carry for 1 yard), just wants to be on the field and doesn’t care at what position.
“I would like to play 20-25 plays this week and I really don’t care what it is,” Cooley said. “I just want to be productive. I want things to go well as far as my responsibilities in what is expected out of me in this offense. I’m not too concerned with where I line up, but I’d like to play 20-25 plays and feel good about it.”
