ROCKVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) - An elderly woman has been taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident on Rockville Pike.
WNEW has learned a 77-year-old woman has been struck by a car on Rockville Pike near Congressional Country Club. The woman has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police tell WNEW that the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman did not stop, making this a hit-and-run. The incident occurred Wednesday morning in the 1400 block of Rockville Pike, in front of a Sunoco gas station. Police say the woman was crossing the driveway of the gas station when she was struck.
