WOODBRIDGE, Va. (AP) — The Prince William County Police Department is being examined by assessors from a national law enforcement group.
Assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies are visiting the county’s training academy this week. Next week, the department as a whole will be assessed for re-accreditation.
The department was last accredited by CALEA three years ago. The examination ensures that the department’s standards and procedures are consistent and up to date with national standards.
