SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a Pennsylvania woman has been charged with negligent manslaughter after her 11-year-old daughter was ejected from her vehicle when it overturned.
Thirty-eight-year-old-year-old Tabitha Dobrzynski of Kensington, Pa., has also been charged with driving under the influence and other offenses. She is being held on $35,000 bond.
Troopers say Dobrzynski was traveling on the Route 13 Bypass in Salisbury when she lost control of the vehicle and it overturned. Authorities say Dobrzynski’s daughter, whom they did not name, was ejected from the rear seat of the vehicle and died as a result of her injuries. Police say the child was not wearing a seat belt.
Three other children in the vehicle were taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
