LARGO, Md. (CBSDC) — A number of stores including the Magic Johnson Movie Theatres at the Boulevard at the Capital Centre in Largo were evacuated Monday afternoon due to a natural gas leak.

A large gas line was actively flowing outside of a building located a short distance from FedEx Field.

Officials with Washington Gas arrived around 3 p.m. and shut off the high pressure flow of the gas.

The stores in the area were being checked for safety.
