Washington Redskins Training Camp Day 6 Morning: Jenkins, Royster, LeRibeus, Banks

By Sky Kerstein

The Washington Redskins held their sixth walk-through of training camp this morning in the bubble and will have their sixth full practice this afternoon in front of the fans.

The big talk this morning was about the rookies skit last night in which Kirk Cousins did an impression of Mike Shanahan.  Evan Royster said it was a “9” out of ten.

“Cousins was great and did it perfectly,” fellow rookie Josh LeRibeus said on the skit.  LeRibeus wouldn’t tell us what he was going to do and said there was a “90 percent chance” he’ll do his tonight.

Redskins defensive lineman Jarvis Jenkins spoke today.  Jenkins tore his ACL in the preseason last season and is ready to make an impact this year.

“Right now, I’m just trying to feel my place around the defensive line,”  Jenkins said.  “Obviously I know I’m going to play a good bit. Not really worried about being the starter. It’s not about being the starter. It’s about contributing and just having a good game consistently through the whole season.”
