ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — The Washington Redskins finished up their sixth day of training camp with some good news on Jammal Brown.
“He’s not going to need surgery,” Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan said on Brown. “Had his other hip looked at today, it’s still a little bit sore.”
Shanahan said the plan is for Jammal Brown to continue staying on the PUP and they’ll see how it goes.
“He’ll still be on PUP,” Shanahan said. “We’re going to try to get him back in football shape and see where he’s at.”
Shanahan also isn’t sure if Brown will be ready for the start of the regular season.
Stephen Bowen, Ryan Kerrigan and London Fletcher were all given the afternoon off to rest.
Kentwan Balmer also wasn’t present and right now Mike Shanahan isn’t sure where he is.
“I’m not really sure what the situation is with him,” Shanahan said. “Hopefully it’s nothing very serious.”
