The Redskins held their fifth walk through this morning of training camp and will hold their fifth practice this afternoon in front of the fans.
Journeyman offensive tackle Jordan Black talked to the Redskins media today for the first time since being signed yesterday. Black, who is 32, who was cut by the Saints last year right before the season started, said he was close to retiring and even had a job interview lined up. Black is comfortable at both left and right tackle and depending on the results of Jammal Brown’s MRI, which is happening today, could see some playing time at right tackle. Black, who currently weighs 275, is eating 7000 calories a day to try get back to 300 pounds.
Darrel Young, who sat out yesterday’s practice with a hamstring injury, says he isn’t sure if he’ll get an MRI and he’ll see how it feels day-to-day. Young also says he will try and “give it a go” at practice and “see how it goes”. Just says it’s a little “tight”.
