SPRINGFIELD, Va. (CBSDC) - Expect major traffic tie-ups on the Inner Loop of I-495 Tuesday morning due to an overturned tractor-trailer.
An overturned fruit truck has spilled its contents across the I-495 and I-395 Interchange in Springfield, allowing just one lane of traffic to squeeze by. The massive traffic nightmare has affected Northbound lanes of the Interstate after Van Dorn Street but before the Springfield Interchange. The accident occurred just after exit 173 on the Southbound side.
WNEW reporter Kevin Rincon is reporting that one lane of traffic is getting by.
The tractor-trailer overturned at approximately 8:14 Tuesday morning. Two or three other cars were involved in the accident.
No injuries have been reported.
