WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — An area near the Gallery Place Metro station in NW Washington has been reopened following the police investigation of a shooting.
The incident took place at about 5:45 a.m. Monday near 7th and H streets in the Chinatown area. Police found one man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say the incident took place in front of the Verizon Center and have reopened the roads following an investigation that shut down the area to morning traffic.
Metropolitan police told WNEW that two men were struggling over a gun when it went off. One man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries with the other man now in police custody.
