CROFTON, Md. (CBSDC) — Neil Prescott has not yet been charged for making threats against his former employer and the Pitney Bowes location where he was working.
The 28-year-old Crofton man remains under a doctor’s care and may remain in that position for up to a week according to Prince George’s County Police spokeswoman Julie Parker.
Charges may not be filed against the man who referred to himself as “a joker” until his psychological evaluation is complete.
It is unclear what charges will file against Prescott for threatening to load his guns and “blow everybody up.”

Former State’s Attorney in Prince George’s County Glenn Ivey told All-News 99.1 the his former colleagues may be better served to turn the case over to federal prosecutors.
Maryland’s threat charges are not as strong as in other states according to Ivey. Federal prosecutors may be able to seek a harsher punishment in his estimation.
“Especially if there are some serious gun violation,” said Ivey. “Federal gun sentences can be pretty stiff.”
