ARLINGTON, Va. (CBSDC) – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating a fatal armed robbery that occurred around 4 p.m. on Friday. The suspect in this case remains at-large and should be considered dangerous.
A 52-year-old man was discovered with a fatal injury inside a jewelry store in the 3200 block of Columbia Pike just prior to midnight on July 27. After not returning home from his shift at the jewelry store, the victim’s family notified police. The 52-year-old Herndon resident was declared dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Surveillance video captures the suspect entering the store and police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man. The suspect is described as a black male, in his 50’s, approximately 5’7” tall with a medium build. He was wearing a neon-colored traffic vest at the time of the incident.
