LANDOVER, Md. (CBSDC) — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for a string of purse snatches at gas stations in Prince George’s County.
Around 6 p.m. on July 25 officers were called to the 5300 block of Sheriff Road for the report of property being stolen from a car. When they arrived a victim informed them a black Mercedes SUV pulled along side of her car as she was finishing pumping gas. A passenger exited the Mercedes, reached inside the victim’s vehicle from the passenger side and stole her purse.
The suspect then got back into the Mercedes and fled the gas station.
Police released video of that robbery.
Similar robberies also occurred at four other locations, some within minutes of each other.
