WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — President Obama is warning his potential donors that his next birthday could be his last at the White House.
In his latest campaign email, Obama tells supporters it’s up to them to make sure he celebrates several more birthdays as president.
“My upcoming birthday next week could be the last one I celebrate as President of the United States, but that’s not up to me — it’s up to you,” the email states.
The campaign is encouraging supporters to donate at least $3 to be automatically entered to win the chance to celebrate Obama’s birthday at his Chicago home.
The Obama campaign has been significantly outraised by Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee the previous two months.
The president will be celebrating his 51st birthday Aug. 4.
