WASHINGTON (AP) — Maryland Sen. Barbara Mikulski is convening a hearing on child health care needs.

The hearing, scheduled for Thursday in Washington, is being held to discuss ways the Child Care Development Block Grant can help child care programs better meet the needs of families.

Mikulski, a Democrat, is the chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Children and Families Subcommittee.
