ROCKVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) — Two firefighters were injured while battling a two-alarm fire at the Marlo Furniture store in Rockville Wednesday evening.

Montgomery County Fire Chief Scott Graham said their injuries were heat related and were non-life threatening.

Authorities say they received reports of a fire at the store, located in the 700 block of Rockville Pike, around 6:10 p.m. Upon their arrival they found the blaze burning in the rear of the building.

The fire was on the second floor and on the roof of the building.

Approximately 85 firefighters were called to the scene.

Rockville Pike was closed in both directions north of Wooton Parkway for nearly two hours as authorities worked to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
