ARLINGTON, Va. (CBSDC) — Two bodies were discovered inside a unit at Park Shirlington Apartments in Arlington and police are treating their deaths as a possible murder-suicide.

Arlington County Police were initially called to the apartments, located in the 4500 block of 31st St. S, around 3 p.m. after a family member discovered the body of a 30-year-old woman. Upon their arrival police also found the body of a 30-year-old man.

A police spokesperson confirmed to All-News 99.1’s Cameron Thompson that both victims were Hispanic. They were also involved in a romantic relationship.

Their identities were not immediately released as homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate.

Their deaths left neighbors rattled.

“Shocking. . . It’s always really quiet around here,” said one nearby resident. “Everyone really kind of talks to each other and gets along. There’s never any incidents. So, two dead bodies are shocking and awful.”
