WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Vegetarian volunteers for PETA lined up in bikinis to serve food in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
The bikini-clad volunteers had tables and tables full of veggie dogs to celebrate what PETA is calling National Veggie Dog Day.

“Animal suffering is a big, big thing out there, and so anything we can do to kind of raise awareness is really important,” said a male volunteer wearing a Speedo.
Representatives of PETA say they created the holiday to combat National Hot Dog Month.
