MILLERSVILLE, Md. (AP) — Automated external defibrillators will be required in all public and semi-public pools in Anne Arundel County.
Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold is scheduled to sign a bill into law on Friday at the Old Mill Swim Club in Millersville.
The law, which is called Connor’s Law, is named for 5-year-old Connor Freed, who drowned at a country club pool in 2006.
The county health department says the law will affect about 275 pools.
