The Washington Capitals announced today that they have re-signed center Mathieu Perreault to a two-year extension.
Perreault, in parts of three seasons, has played in 64 regular season NHL games and has 27 goals and 26 assists. Last season was his first full-time season in the NHL and in 64 regular season games, he had 16 goals and 14 assists.
Perreault, 24, played in four playoff games last season without recording a point.
