The final two All-Star roster spots are up for grabs, and Major League Baseball has left it up to its fans to decide who gets the final nod.
Fans will make the final two selections (1 American League, 1 National League) from 10 players through online voting, with the option to select one of five players in each league. The winners of this online selection process will represent their respective cities in the 2012 MLB All-Star Game in Kansas City.
Bryce Harper needs your help, Nats fans.
Harper has until July 5 for you to vote him in to make him the youngest All-Star since Jason Heyward (also 19) in 2010. Also, a successful vote-in campaign from Nats fans would mean four D.C. representatives in Kansas City, packaging Harper with fellow Nats, Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, and Ian Desmond – would be the most Nationals honored in one season.
Harper is going up against Chipper Jones and Michael Bourn of Atlanta, David Freese of St. Louis, and Aaron Hill of Arizona.
