WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – A two-alarm house fire on Glenbrook Road in Northwest D.C. has been contained.

The fire emanated smoke that could be seen from across the Potomac River from Crystal City early Friday morning.

A spokesman for the D.C. Fire Department said the blaze broke out in a house located at 4867 Glenbrook Road around 5:37 a.m.

Firefighters arriving on the scene found a fully-involved house fire with flames on both floors of the two-story home. A second alarm was then called.

There were no reports of injuries from inside the burning home, although it is unclear whether anyone was in the home at the time of the fire.
