D.C. Police Seek Public Assistance In Florida Avenue Apartment Burglary

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - The Metropolitan Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in relation to a burglary which occurred in an apartment building on June 19.

The burglary occurred at the Delta Towers apartment building, located at 1400 Florida Avenue, NE, between 5:00 p.m. and 5:15 p.m..

The suspect shown in the below surveillance video signing a book in the front lobby of the building, is described as a black male, 40-45 years of age, standing at 5’6” to 5’8” tall, weighing in at 200 to 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue collared shirts with 3- to 4-inch length sleeves, tan trousers, and white tennis shoes.

Anyone who has knowledge of this case, knows the subject’s identity or sees him should take no action, but should immediately call police at (202) 727-9099 or Detective Dino McFadden of the Fifth Detectives Office at (202) 698-0645. Anonymous tips may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging to 50411.
