WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — A 17-year-old male was stabbed on a Metrobus near the intersection of 21st and F Streets NW on the campus of George Washington University Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say two men began fighting on a Route 80 bus around 12:20 p.m. One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the teen in the stomach. He then fled the bus.

The suspect is described as a bald man with a dark complexion in his 40’s. He is roughly 5 feet 3 inches tall and was wearing a purple shirt with white stripes at the time of the incident.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition. He was later released and was not cooperating with police. Authorities believe he knows the suspect in the case.
