BLADENSBURG, Md, (CBSDC) — Prince George’s County is asking for assistance from the public to provide relief to the nearly 600 displaced residents from last week’s microburst in Bladensburg.
The county is asking for donations of food, clothing and financial contributions.
Prince George’s County officials are working with all displaced residents to find housing solutions.
“We greatly appreciate those who have already made donations since last weekend, and hope the donations will continue to assist our displaced residents recovering from this devastating storm,” County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III said Wednesday. “As County Executive, I have seen time and time again neighbors helping out neighbors in Prince George’s County, around the region, nation and around the world. As we face another challenge within our County, I am confident that together we will persevere.”

Financial contributions can be made through a special fund established for those impacted. The money raised will help purchase food, provide housing assistance and clothing.
Contributions can be made in person at the Finance Office of the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services. Donors may also send their contributions to:
